Very nice detailed work Patrick but my eye is drawn to the ear and away from the face.
Maybe some fur covering part of the ear would have looked better visually.

I can see what you mean Mike. In this case, I was being true to the reference but you have a valid point. Maybe some artistic licence is called for. The thing about the ears on a young chimp is they are so huge (the adult seems to grow in the face but not in the ears so it all catches up lol) that to me they look rediculous but cute at the same time. They are also rarely covered by hair because they ARE so huge! So I liked that look, but as you say, it creates two focal points where one might have been better.
