 Post subject: Escaping the fires - Chimp WIP

Hey guys, I promised you that the next work would be a little different. This scene is going to depict a pair of chimps fleeing the fires as their habitat is destroyed. I worked up the scene in photoshop with the pair engulfed in smoke and really liked the action in it.

I'm doing it in pastels on colourfix, 280mm x 670mm

Here's the first 2 steps.

Here's the latest update...

Just been working on the smoke in the background. This will also be filtered over the chimps once they are done.

Things really started to heat up today as I kicked into gear on this and finished it off about 10 minutes ago.
