Here's the newest work on my easel. This piece is a full sheet of Colourfix and I'm working in soft pastels.

I'm actually surprised by how quickly this guy is developing.

Just a quick update from last night before I escape to the studio later tonight. Once I have his face completed things will speed up considerably.

really like this new chimp series, esp the compositions which are far from the usual and have a dynamic qualitiy from the diagonals used

Thanks for the comments! I loved the diagonals in this one too.

I've finished the chimp's face now and hope to have the piece completed tonight in a huge studio session which should also see me starting my next chimp piece and wrapping up work on my current beach scenes.
