With new members signing up to this forum I thought I'd clarify just what we're about here. The Untamed Artist Network was formed in 2006 to give wildlife artists a chance to make a difference with their artwork. The aim of the network was to have artists working together on programs and events designed to raise awareness and funds for wildlife conservation.

The artists that are part of the network are some of the best in the business and were hand picked for their passion and commitment not only to their art but using it for the greater good.

This forum was developed to be an area where our members could work on collaborations, get ideas and feedback on their projects as well as sharing work with one another.

When you sign on to be a member of this forum you're signing on to play a part in helping to raise awareness of the plight of animals around the world. We're here to change the world people!

I like this Leigh. Is it open to feed back? And maybe it could even be apart of membership sign in, where it has to be read then ticked off by a potential member as a promise or an obligation to being apart of the this network upon becoming a member. Kinda like acknowledging a licenses agreement.

What do ya think?

It's a perfect idea Mitch. I'm happy for people to post their thoughts on what we're about.

Personally I agree. There are plenty of forums out there. I can't even remember half of the ones I'm a member of. So one needs to make a difference to be different and I think this one needs that - otherwise why join? I think most wildlife artists would be itching to give something back.

Let's kick some serious butt in the 'make a difference' world!!

at the end of the day we can look at both wildlife and humanitarian aid projects. Mitch has got some wonderful ideas that I think we could all get in on...

I Must say i am proud to be a part of this forum.
I have always had a spot in my heart for nature, if we don't take an awareness, then,WHO WILL?

Gary

Hey everyone, I just wanted to add a brief postscript to this thread. On the weekend Patrikc and I had the opening of our Art for Chimps exhibition, the first official show by the Untamed Artist Network. It was a resounding success and managed to get us endorsed by the great Dr Jane Goodall! Patrick got called up on stage at her public lecture at Adelaide Town Hall where she acknowledged both of us for making a difference! That is what it's all about!
